P2 Create A Written Proposal
• Use the 7 point mindmap to assist you •
1. Create a new A4 Word Doc and type up your proposal for your product.
It may be 2 pages
Headings:
Purpose - what is your campaign about? Title of your campaign
Possible logs/ logo for your campaign
Form - what form are you creating - AV/ Audio/Print
Target Audience:
Who is your Target audience - demographics, physcographic, geographic, behavioural, what will appeal to your audience?
Collect data to prove/ inform what you you want to do.
Are they male or female?
Explain this answer. What age are they? What will you put in your campaign/product so that it appeal to every member of your target audience?
Choose - TV - AV, Radio - Audio, cinema, online, billboards, a combination of two or all three (choose at least two areas).
Budget- Cost, compare cost of other similar events- discuss - day- weekend - evening, sponsors, supporters?
Make a list of all the costs. How much will your film cost to make?
Timeline - deadline, schedule, gannt chart
Success: What will make it successful? How will you make it a success for your community?

- How I will meet the needs of the Target Audience: What are the needs to your target audience. For example do they want to be educated, entertained or do they want to escape their everyday life? Is it a bit of everything? Do they just do everything that is popular - a mainstreamer?
- Demographics: Describe the typical Science Fiction demographic. Look briefly at age, gender, ethnicity, income, education and occupation
- My consideration of Legal & Ethical Issues: You must consider - Gender Issues: If your cast is all male then explain why. Diversity - Is your cast diverse, representing a multicultural society? Religion - Does your film touch on any religious issues. Could it cause offence? Libel - Could there be anything in your film which could be deemed libellous? Permissions - Do you need to get parental consent to film students? Location Permission - Do you require permission to film at your chosen setting? Copyright: permission to use another persons work in your production.
- BBFC: What will the BBFC rating for your film be. Look up the BBFC criteria for this rating. How you are going to meet the BBFC film criteria for your production?
- Concluding Comments: Sum up your proposal. Explain briefly how you have met the brief, what the strengths of your idea are and how much you hoping to work with 21st century productions in the future!!.
